has clean hands, and a pure heart, who has not lifted<br />
up his soul <strong>to</strong> an idol..." (Psalm 23). These are all <strong>the</strong><br />
qualities of Christ ascending <strong>to</strong> heaven, standing at <strong>the</strong><br />
right hand of God. In Psalm 24, King David says, "Lift<br />
up your heads, O you gates; And lift <strong>the</strong>m up, you<br />
everlasting doors; And <strong>the</strong> King of Glory shall come in.<br />
Who is <strong>the</strong> King of Glory The Lord of hosts, He is <strong>the</strong><br />
King of glory." This verse is read before <strong>the</strong> Gospel<br />
during <strong>the</strong> Resurrection Feast.<br />
In this psalm, a multitude of heavenly hosts asks ano<strong>the</strong>r<br />
multitude <strong>to</strong> lift up <strong>the</strong> doors of heaven so <strong>the</strong> King of Glory<br />
may enter, who is ascending <strong>from</strong> <strong>the</strong> earth. The Lord strong<br />

freeing all <strong>the</strong> imprisoned, beginning with Adam, and<br />
bringing <strong>the</strong>m back <strong>to</strong> Paradise.<br />

'Glory'" (Psalm 28).<br />

disciples. He calls Himself <strong>the</strong> TRUE VINE and we are<br />
<strong>the</strong> branches that grow in Him by <strong>the</strong> <strong>Holy</strong> Spirit which<br />
we receive in <strong>the</strong> Sacrament of Confirmation - <strong>the</strong> Myron.<br />
Through this, we bear more fruit.<br />
• In <strong>the</strong> contemplative Troparia, we ask <strong>the</strong> Lord not <strong>to</strong><br />
take His <strong>Holy</strong> Spirit away <strong>from</strong> us, but <strong>to</strong> abide within<br />
us. We ask <strong>the</strong> <strong>Holy</strong> Spirit, who is <strong>the</strong> Comforter <strong>to</strong><br />
dwell within us, through <strong>the</strong> intercessions of <strong>the</strong> Mo<strong>the</strong>r<br />
