Upon arriving at your house, pray your usual daily prayers, have<br />

a light supper, and prepare yourself for <strong>the</strong> <strong>Holy</strong> Communion<br />

<strong>the</strong> next day.<br />

Sleep early, so that you might be able <strong>to</strong> wake up early <strong>the</strong> next<br />

morning, and go <strong>to</strong> church, according <strong>to</strong> His precious promise:<br />

“I love those who love Me, and those who seek Me diligently<br />

will find Me, riches and honour are with Me” (Proverbs<br />

8:17,18).<br />

God loves those who get up early <strong>to</strong> meet Him, and pray with<br />

Him, remembering His words <strong>to</strong> Moses <strong>the</strong> Prophet: “So be<br />

ready in <strong>the</strong> morning, and come up in <strong>the</strong> morning <strong>to</strong> Mount<br />

Sinai, and present yourself <strong>to</strong> Me <strong>the</strong>re on <strong>the</strong> <strong>to</strong>p of <strong>the</strong><br />

mountain…Then Moses rose early in <strong>the</strong> morning, and went<br />

up <strong>to</strong> Mount Sinai as <strong>the</strong> Lord had commanded him” (Exodus<br />

34:2-4).<br />

Notes on <strong>the</strong> Mystery of Confession:<br />

Some people are used <strong>to</strong> confessing during <strong>the</strong> <strong>Liturgy</strong>’s<br />

readings, but this, however, is inappropriate because of <strong>the</strong><br />

shortness of time, especially if <strong>the</strong> priest is serving alone. In<br />

addition, this does not give enough chance for you <strong>to</strong> confess all<br />

your sins, nor give <strong>the</strong> priest enough time <strong>to</strong> give you <strong>the</strong><br />

appropriate spiritual practices or advices.<br />

What is more dangerous is that some people do not confess at<br />

all, but still proceed <strong>to</strong> <strong>the</strong> <strong>Holy</strong> Communion, asking only that<br />

<strong>the</strong> priest give <strong>the</strong>m <strong>the</strong> absolution. With great sorrow, some<br />

priests approve of giving <strong>the</strong> absolution, without asking <strong>the</strong>se<br />
