Clean<strong>in</strong>g and care<br />

^ Clean the bolt a, and smear a little silicone<br />

lubricant on it and on the jo<strong>in</strong>ts b.<br />

^ Place the brew unit <strong>in</strong> the mach<strong>in</strong>e.<br />

R<strong>in</strong>s<strong>in</strong>g cycle: Degreas<strong>in</strong>g the brew unit<br />

Depend<strong>in</strong>g on the fat content of the <strong>coffee</strong> used, the<br />

brew unit could become blocked. It should therefore<br />

be cleaned after approx. 500 portions have been<br />

prepared us<strong>in</strong>g the clean<strong>in</strong>g tablets supplied with<br />

the mach<strong>in</strong>e. These have been specially formulated<br />

for use <strong>in</strong> this <strong>coffee</strong> mach<strong>in</strong>e. They are available<br />

from your <strong>Miele</strong> Dealer or from the <strong>Miele</strong> Spare Parts<br />

Department.<br />

To rem<strong>in</strong>d you to degrease the brew unit the<br />

message "R<strong>in</strong>s<strong>in</strong>g Cycle" will appear <strong>in</strong> the<br />

display after 500 portions. It will not go out until<br />

the clean<strong>in</strong>g cycle has been carried out.<br />

^ Three quarters fill the water conta<strong>in</strong>er with fresh,<br />

cold water and place it <strong>in</strong> the mach<strong>in</strong>e.<br />

^ Remove the brew unit and place a clean<strong>in</strong>g tablet<br />

<strong>in</strong> the funnel.<br />

^ Replace the brew unit <strong>in</strong> the mach<strong>in</strong>e and close<br />

the door.<br />
