Descaling
The machine should be descaled regularly to
ensure that it functions correctly. It will remind you
when this needs to be carried out.
When you are at the stage where only 100 portions
can be made before the next descaling programme
has to be run the following message will appear in
the display : "Descale after coffees: 100".
This message will now appear on a regular basis.
When you are 30 portions away from having to
descale the machine this message will appear every
time you have made a drink. If you let it run to 0 the
machine will stop working and "Descale" will appear
in the display.
You cannot make any more drinks until the
descaling programme has been carried out.
For descaling you should only use the descaling
tablets supplied. These have been specially
formulated for use in this coffee machine. They
are available from your Miele dealer or the Miele
Spare Parts Department.
Other types of descaling agents will damage the
machine and affect the taste.
Follow the instructions on the package carefully.
Otherwise the machine could get damaged.
Allow the machine to cool down before descaling
and remove the steam spout cover of the milk
frother, as this could be damaged by the
descaling agent.
Make sure that any spillages of descaling agent
are removed immediately to avoid damage to the
machine front.
