Descaling The following will appear in the display: The machine must now be rinsed out to remove all traces of the descaling agent. ^ Rinse the water conainer out thoroughly and then fill it with at least 2 litres of fresh, cold water and place it back in the machine. ^ Place good sized empty containers under the hot water spout and steam spout and turn the steam control dial anti-clockwise. ^ Allow all the water to empty out of the machine via the spouts. This rinses through the whole system and removes all traces of descaling agent. When the water container is empty, the following will appear in the display: ^ Turn the steam control dial clockwise back to the o position and press ENTER. ^ If the selector is in the programming position, the following will appear in the display window: The machine has been descaled and rinsed clean of any descaling agent. ^ Lubricate around the outer seal at the bottom of the water container (see illustration) and also the contact in the machine using the silicone lubricant supplied. 60

The machine is blocked. - Make sure that the filled water container is in the machine. - Turn the selector to In Operation with lighting, and place containers under the hot water and steam spouts. - Press the hot water button, turn the steam selector anti-clockwise and dispense hot water until it flows in quiet, continuous streams. - Press the hot water button again, turn the steam dial clockwise to o , to turn off the water. Fresh water This is a reminder to fill the water container with fresh water. Rinsing Cycle The brew unit needs to be lubricated. Lubricate the brew unit. Waste unit. miss. Display messages Empty the waste unit and press ENTER. Press ENTER. Call the Service Dept. Fill the container with cold, fresh water and replace it in the machine.
