<strong>Interim</strong> Report, No 3, 19 <strong>September</strong> <strong>2011</strong> – 18 <strong>March</strong> 2012<br />
• Manual and materials development for the second batch of training workshops<br />
The priorities indicated in the inception mission <strong>report</strong>s and filled in questionnaires for each<br />
country are used as a basis for composing the national trainings aiming at a tailor made approach to<br />
the trainings. In addition based on the comments and experience gained during the training courses<br />
in the first batch of training workshops, specific additions, adaptations and further elaborations<br />
have been made.<br />
The special subjects and specific directives and regulations to be selected might include IED/IPPC<br />
with EIA, LCP, PRTR, RMCEI, SEVESO II, VOCs, Waste and Chemicals management and<br />
Environmental Crime<br />
Based on the discussions with the WG 4 coordinators the following subject and pilot industries will<br />
be covered in the upcoming period:<br />
1. Serbia (27 – 30 <strong>March</strong> 2012): petrochemical plant with IED/IPPC, SEVESOII and waste<br />
management as special subjects;<br />
2. fYR of Macedonia (09 – 13 April 2012); steel production (EAF) with IED/IPPC and<br />
REACH as special subjects;<br />
3. Montenegro (03 – 07 <strong>September</strong> 2012), LCP – thermo electric power plant and waste<br />
landfills as special subjects;<br />
4. Croatia (planned 01 – 05 October 2012), (calcium aluminates cement plant) with IED/<br />
revision of RMCEI as special subjects.<br />

Planned activities for the next interim <strong>report</strong>ing period<br />
• Preparation and delivery of fifth national training/workshop on selected subjects in Cluster I<br />
for Serbia, Belgrade (27 – 29 <strong>March</strong> 2012).<br />
• Preparation and delivery of the 6th national training/workshop on selected subjects in<br />
Cluster I FYR of Macedonia (planned 9 – 13 April 2012); steel production (EAF) with<br />
IED/IPPC and REACH as special subjects.<br />
• Preparation and delivery of the 7th national training/workshop on selected subjects in<br />
Cluster I Montenegro (planned 3 – 7 <strong>September</strong> 2012), LCP – thermo electric power plant<br />
and waste landfills as special subjects<br />
Activity 4.2 Country external assessments with a review of inspection and enforcement<br />
powers<br />
Implemented activities during the third interim <strong>report</strong>ing period<br />
• Fact finding missions and preparation of draft <strong>report</strong>s for BiH (<strong>September</strong> <strong>2011</strong>), Albania<br />
(October <strong>2011</strong>), Kosovo (October <strong>2011</strong>) and Turkey (December <strong>2011</strong>).<br />
Planned activities for the next interim <strong>report</strong>ing period<br />
• Final editing and website publishing of all Country Assessment Reports for Serbia,<br />
Montenegro, fYR of Macedonia, Albania, Kosovo under UNSCR 1244/99, Bosnia and<br />
Herzegovina, and Turkey. Comments on the final drafts are expected to be received from<br />
Kosovo under UNSCR 1244/99 and Turkey.<br />
