Article 139.<br />

Expiry of Infringements<br />

Minor infringements will expire after one year, and serious<br />

infringements after three years, these periods being computed<br />

from the day following the date of the infringement.<br />

The expiry period will be interrupted when the disciplinary<br />

proceeding is initiated, but if this proceeding were to be stopped<br />

for two months by a cause not attributable to the person or<br />

entity subject thereto, the corresponding expiry period will<br />

continue from the point at which it was interrupted. The expiry<br />

period will be interrupted again when the procedure resumes.<br />

Article 140.<br />

Expiry of Sanctions<br />

Sanctions will expire after three years. The expiry period will<br />

start the day following the day on which the sanctioning<br />

resolution becomes final, or from the time in which the fulfilment<br />

of a sanction already in force is breached.<br />

Disciplinary Proceedings<br />

Article 141.<br />

Common Provisions<br />

The procedure for ordering the sanctions stipulated in these<br />

Regulations will be governed by the rules of this chapter.<br />

Sanctions may only be ordered for cases that are heard.<br />

Article 142.<br />

Ex Officio Procedure<br />

The disciplinary proceedings will be initiated ex officio by the<br />

<strong>Euroleague</strong> <strong>Basketball</strong> CEO upon being informed of an alleged<br />

infringement or at the request of the party concerned.<br />

Article 143.<br />

Commencement of Proceedings<br />

In opening proceedings upon receiving the allegations or being<br />

informed of an alleged infringement, the <strong>Euroleague</strong> <strong>Basketball</strong><br />

CEO may resolve to have evidence collected before ordering the<br />

commencement of proceedings or the closure of the case.<br />
