technical elements duly approved for the game of basketball, as<br />

well as all other requirements demanded in the corresponding<br />

regulations.<br />

9.3. Availability of at least two 4 star hotels within the city area<br />

where the arena is located.<br />

9.4. International airport at a maximum distance of 100km by road<br />

from the arena, with enough daily flights to allow the teams to<br />

have access to the city under the right conditions, without<br />

significant disruption to their schedule.<br />

9.5. The club must be in a sound financial position, will not have<br />

been formally declared bankrupt or insolvent by a competent<br />

body in its home country and will not have entered into<br />

liquidation or dissolution. Notwithstanding the above, before<br />

rejecting the participation of this club in the event that it has<br />

been formally declared insolvent, ECA may request additional<br />

information from the club, including that its financial position be<br />

evaluated by an auditing firm in order to establish if it is possible<br />

for the club to follow an alternative write-off plan or a debt<br />

recovery plan to overcome the insolvency situation within a<br />

reasonable deadline. In this case, ECA may accept a provisional<br />

registration of the club.<br />

9.6. The club must not be banned or temporarily suspended from<br />

participating in the <strong>Euroleague</strong> by the Companies, regardless of<br />

the reason for the prohibition or suspension.<br />

Article 10.<br />

C Licence<br />

ECA will grant the <strong>Euroleague</strong> champion a one-year licence for<br />

participating in the <strong>Euroleague</strong> the following season, provided<br />

that the <strong>Euroleague</strong> champion does not hold an A or B Licence.<br />

ECA will grant the Eurocup champion a one-year licence for<br />

participating in the <strong>Euroleague</strong> the following season, provided<br />

that the <strong>Euroleague</strong> champion from the previous season already<br />

holds an A or B Licence.<br />

In both cases, the allocation of the licence will be conditional<br />

upon the fulfilment of all terms and conditions established in<br />

these Licensing Rules for the Clubs with B Licences. In the case<br />

that the club does not fulfil these requirements, the<br />

Shareholders Executive Board will propose the allocation of a<br />

wild card to the General Assembly.<br />
