Construction Direct and Indirect Cost
Direct costs are those which are readily or directly attributed to, or become an identifiable
part of, the final project (e.g., piping labour and material). Indirect costs are costs that cannot
be attributed readily to a part of the final product (e.g. temporary facilities).
Please use the following table as a guide in categorizing direct and indirect construction cost.
