SEXUAL MISCONDUCT
Tougaloo College considers the personal and physical safety of students and employees to be a
high priority to the learning and working environment. Every member of the college should be
aware that the college is strongly opposed to sexual misconduct and that such behavior is
prohibited both by state law and by college policy. It is the intention of the college to take
immediate action to prevent, correct, and if necessary, discipline behavior that violates this
policy.
All forms of sexual misconduct are regarded as serious offenses, which will result in disciplinary
action, including, but not limited to suspension or expulsion. Prosecution of students for crimes
they commit, whether by state or federal prosecutors, is independent of and in addition to the
charges and actions taken under college regulations.
