Responsibility<br />
Staff - Each manager/supervisor is responsible for enforcing the policy among his/her<br />
employees. Candidates for employment will be told, prior to hiring, of this policy and the<br />
expectation.<br />
Faculty - Each department chairperson is responsible for enforcing the policy among the<br />
faculty members in his/her department<br />
<strong>Student</strong>s - Residential Hall Coordinators and Resident Assistants are responsible for<br />
enforcing the policy in the residence halls and during residence hall activities. Continued<br />
violations by students may lead to suspension from the residence hall.<br />
Public Safety – The Office of Public Safety is responsible for enforcing the policy with<br />
visitors, students, staff, faculty, and vendors when appropriate. Courtesy and diplomacy<br />
must be used when enforcing this policy campus-wide.<br />
<strong>Student</strong>s found in violation of this policy will be fined $50.00 dollars for the first offense<br />
and subject to disciplinary action for further violations. Tampering with fire alarms is an<br />
illegal offense and punishable by immediate suspension from the residence hall.<br />
11. Outdoor Meetings and Rallies<br />

Unscheduled outdoor meetings and rallies may be held as long as they are conducted<br />
within the framework of the institutional governance and/or the orderly processes of the<br />
<strong>College</strong>. Meetings and rallies held outdoors should not disrupt classes or other scheduled<br />
meetings in buildings.<br />
<strong>Student</strong>s are not allowed to keep pets of any type in the residence halls or on the property<br />
of <strong>Tougaloo</strong> <strong>College</strong>.<br />
13. Public Intoxication<br />
a. Public intoxication is prohibited.<br />
b. Individuals are held responsible for their actions while intoxicated.<br />
14. Registration and Parking Decals<br />
All vehicles must be registered with Public Safety. A person must show evidence of<br />
vehicle registration, proof of automobile liability insurance, and a current tag. Decals for<br />
parking on campus will cost $10.00 for students and $25.00 for faculty and staff.<br />
