Any trip taken by a group of students must be made in a licensed bus with a bona fide license<br />
from the proper State Commission<br />
Criteria for <strong>Student</strong> Pay Affairs<br />
Each organization may sponsor one pay affair per month. Pay affairs will be restricted to<br />
organizations that have functioned actively on campus for at least one academic year. Stepshows<br />
must receive prior approval and advisors must be present at pay affairs that are held at<br />
night and on weekends. Activity Request forms must be filed by the 15 th of the month prior to<br />
the requested date.<br />
<strong>Student</strong> Productions<br />
The production must be wholesome entertainment and of a cultural nature. It should follow a<br />
high standard of production:<br />
1. It must not have any offensive or obscene suggestiveness;<br />
2. Costumes and music must be in harmony with the production;<br />
3. The production must be well done and of good taste. (If there is a violation of the<br />
above criteria during presentation after the production has been approved by the<br />
reviewing committee, the organization may be suspended)<br />
Duties and Responsibilities of Advisors<br />
1. Attend all meetings of the organization<br />
2. Attend all pay affairs at night sponsored by the organization<br />
3. Approve or disapprove special meetings<br />
4. Work with student groups in planning, executing and evaluating activities of the<br />
organization<br />
5. Counsel with students and lead them toward realizing their potentials for optimal<br />
growth in keeping with the objectives of the <strong>College</strong><br />
6. Encourage students to attain exemplary records of leadership and character<br />
7. Report immediately any acts of danger involving students to Public Safety and/or the<br />
Office of <strong>Student</strong> Affairs<br />
If an advisor fails to meet the above responsibilities, it could lead to a penalty imposed on the<br />
organization.<br />
How to Best Utilize Your Advisor<br />
1. Always consult you advisor before scheduling a meeting. It is <strong>College</strong> policy that an<br />
advisor be present for meetings and activities of the organization. It is common<br />
courtesy that you work with your advisors and their schedules. (Remember, advisors<br />
are not paid to serve as your advisors).<br />
2. Meet with you advisor at least one day before your meeting to go over the agenda and<br />
topics to be discussed at the meeting. If you are not certain how to run the meeting or<br />
