3. Meet with your advisor after the meeting to solicit advice or comments on the way<br />
you handled the meeting. It can only help! Work with your advisor in seeing that<br />
follow-up assignments to be done by other officers and members are completed, and<br />
keep him/her posted as the progress of the organization.<br />
Financing Your Organization<br />
Recognized campus organizations are allowed to conduct one pay affair per month. Pay affairs<br />
will be restricted to organizations that have functioned actively on campus for at least one<br />
academic year. The proceeds from these fund raisers, membership dues and contributions from<br />
external sources should be used for the operation of your organization if permitted by your<br />
individual constitutions.<br />
Publications<br />
<strong>Tougaloo</strong> <strong>College</strong> respects students’ rights to express their opinions and encourages them to do<br />
so in a professional and ethical manner. The <strong>College</strong> does not endorse or accept responsibility<br />
for libelous writing, offensive language, and plagiarism. <strong>Student</strong>s engaging in such are subject<br />
to discipline under college rules and state and federal law.<br />
<strong>Student</strong> Activities Committee – The committee is composed of the Vice Presidents from each of<br />
the four classes. Funds for activities are derived from the student activity fee. The Chairman of<br />
the committee is the Vice President of the <strong>Student</strong> Government Association.<br />

Social activities are planned and implemented by all organizations on campus to provide<br />
entertainment, relaxation and raise funds for the organizations.<br />
