Besides a description of each item, the table includes thefollowing: the responsible individual and agency (with contact information) for overseeing thepolicy or program; whether each policy or program is related to pre-disaster or post-disasterhazard mitigation; and whether each policy or program affects development in hazard-proneareas.Table 6-1 identifies three hazard mitigation capabilities that <strong>Guam</strong> has changed since the 2008<strong>Guam</strong> HMP. These include the reinstatement of the NFIP on <strong>Guam</strong>, the implementation of the2010 Stormwater Drainage Master <strong>Plan</strong>, and the adoption and enforcement the 2009International Building Code (IBC) and International Residential Code (IRC) as the modelbuilding codesThe Government of <strong>Guam</strong>’s hazard mitigation funding capabilities are discussed in Section 6.3(Funding Sources).6-2
