and qualification of human resources as well as about the opportunities of finding/requesting the courses needed.The number of network partners in different countries varies, the total evaluativenumber being 25–30 companies and network schools. In addition, in Estoniaanother project has been submitted to the European Social Fund (Measure 1.1) theobjective of which is to implement the Innomet system throughout Estoniainvolving 10 major schools and 100 companies (full-scale data and comparability).However, in different countries the scope of the project is different involving onlythe core network partners of the organisation.The project and Innomet system as such identify the bottlenecks (lack ofqualified labour force, development problems related to human resources) of theeducational and training system vis-à-vis the existing private sector labour forceneeds.Figure 4.3 Innomet in EuropeTherefore, with this project, the quality of both education programmes andcooperation between educational institutions and private sector companies will beimproved through interaction and networking. Direct impact on different targetgroups is the following:• The system introduced offers a new innovative channel to improve theeveryday communication and cooperation between educational institutions(professors, trainers, students), sectoral associations and companies, whichare all involved in the project. In addition, professors and trainers can moreeasily adapt and up-date their study programmes according to the privatesector labour force demand. For education and planning purposes, the cooperationplatform with an information system helps to streamline higherand vocational education programmes to better respond to market needs.This will lead to a high skill and competence profile of students andtrainees and better competitiveness of human resource in general.48
