IMPROVING COMBUSTION EFFICIENCY<br />
UKRAINIAN POWER PLANTS<br />
The following work will be performed at each plant, as a minimum:<br />
• Introduction and information exchange with plant management<br />
• Discussion and presentation ofthe scope ofwork<br />
• Assess both technical and managerial capabilities<br />
• Establish points ofcontacts<br />
• Identify any local support, ifavailable<br />
• Identify and coordinate the work schedule<br />
• Discussion with key personnel regarding operation ofthe plant<br />
• Determine the availability ofthe existing sources ofinformation and data<br />
• Determine the plant historical operating data<br />
• Walk through the plant to determine the requirements for selected<br />
instrumenta1ions:<br />
Combustion analysers<br />
Fuel flow meters. gas, on or coal<br />
Oxygen analyzers<br />
• Review ofexisting P&ID's to determine locations ofmonitoring points<br />
• Determine physica11ocations for installing the selected primary element<br />
• Determine locations for installing the remote monitoring modules<br />
• Identify the persons to be assigned for on-the-job audit tTaining
