Standards.LAS VEGAS DOWNTOWNCENTENNIAL PLANOUTDOORDINING STANDARDSWhen otherwise permitted within the underlying zoning district, outdoordining or outdoor seating on private property is permitted to take place in accordancewith the following standards:a. Location. Outdoor dining may occur only as an accessory use to aRestaurant establishment, and shall only be permitted on private property,except as otherwise allowed under this section. Outdoor seatingareas may be a permitted accessory to Urban Lounges in 18b The LasVegas Arts District, or accessory to Tavern-Limited establishments inthe East Village District. The outdoor dining or seating areas shall notextend onto adjacent properties or rights-of-way. The outdoor diningor seating areas shall not be located in a manner that interferes withbuilding egress and ingress as required by the International BuildingCode (IBC).b. Barriers. Outdoor dining and outdoor seating areas on private propertyshall have a permanent or temporary railing or other similarbarrier to define the area and to prevent encroachment onto adjacentproperties or rights of way.c. Furniture. All furnishings within an outdoor dining or seating areashall be made of sturdy, durable and commercial grade material, andshall complement the design theme of the business. Ordinary plasticlawn chairs and tables and similar furniture is not acceptable.d. Lighting. Lighting, when provided, shall be shielded and of low wattageso as to illuminate only the outdoor dining or seating area so asto avoid producing glare that has a negative impact on surroundingproperties or rights-of-way. The design of the light fixtures shall becompatible with the architectural theme of the building and business.e. Maintenance. Outdoor dining or seating areas shall be kept in a goodstate of repair and maintained in a clean, safe and sanitary condition.Any item of furniture or equipment that is broken, rusting, degraded,torn, or tattered shall be removed promptly.f. Music and Live Entertainment. Music and Live Entertainment arepermitted as an accessory amenity. Any music or entertainment shallcomply with applicable noise ordinances and standards.g.
