<strong>THE</strong> <strong>MADHYA</strong> <strong>PRADESH</strong> <strong>TREASURY</strong> <strong>CODE</strong>VOLUME Icommuted portion of the pension ceases from that date. No payment of pension for asubsequent day should be made until a revised Pension Payment Order has beenreceived from the Accountant-General. If, however, in any ease, the commutedportion of the pension to which the pensioner was not entitled under this article hasbeen paid to him before the receipt of the Accountant-General's order authorising thepayment of the commuted value, the commuted portion so paid shall be deductedfrom the amount payable in commutation. A note will be made on the old PensionPayment Order of the amount deducted, before both halves of the Order arereturned to the Accountant-General to enable the latter to issue a revised PensionPayment Order.GRATUITIES384. Gratuities including Death-cum-Retirement Gratuities shall not be paid excepton an authority received from the Accountant-General to whom the sanction iscommunicated by the sanctioning authority or by another Audit Officer. Payment canbe claimed on the letter of authority itself, and no separate bill is necessary andshall be made in the same manner as laid down in subsidiary rules 530 and 531 inrelation to Provident Funds.Note:-1 When at the option of the Gratuitant the gratuity is drawn by the head of anoffice for disbursement, he shall furnish to the Accountant-General, within amonth of the date of drawal, a certificate of disbursement.Note: 2- The gratuity Pay Order and the payment Authority for commutation ofpension received from the Accountant-General, Madhya Pradesh must be keptin the personal custody of the Disbursing Officer so that an unauthorisedperson shall not have access thereto.Sub-section V-Periodical Identification of PensionersGENERAL RULES385.
