<strong>THE</strong> <strong>MADHYA</strong> <strong>PRADESH</strong> <strong>TREASURY</strong> <strong>CODE</strong>VOLUME I10, 000/- provided that in both cases the arrears are not be paid forthe first time; and(ii)in all other cases with the sanction of the authority by whom thepension was sanctioned;Provided that if in any case a pension remains undrawn for three years in thecase of a service pension or six years in the case of a political pension it cannot bepaid without the authority of the Accountant-General.Note:- If the suspension of payment is attributed to error or neglect by anyGovernment officer, the Accountant-General may direct payment of thearrears on his own authority.(Government of India's correction No. 640 to Treasury Rule 369 (1) of theCentral Treasury Rules, Vol. I)(2) A gratuity payment order shall remain in force for one year only, and nosuch order shall be retained in a disbursing office if payment has not been made onit within a year of its issue.Note: 1- Gratuity payment order remaining undisbursed or over one year, shall bere-validated by the Accountant-General, Madhya Pradesh without any formalreference to the authority by which such gratuity was sanctioned.Note: 2- The procedure applicable to service gratuity shall be applicable to thedeath-cum-retirement gratuity.DEATH OF PENSIONERS388(1) Subject to any rule or order made by the Government in this behalf, thepayment of arrears of pension due in respect of a deceased pensioner shall beregulated by the following rules:-(a)pension can be drawn for the day of man's death; the hour at whichdeath takes place has no effect on the claim.CHAPTER IV 17 of 60WITHDRAWAL FROM <strong>THE</strong> CONSOLIDATED FUNDAND <strong>THE</strong> PUBLIC ACCOUNT
