In the new resource allocationproposal the words quality criteria are used as catchwords for resourceallocation and competition as a key driving factor. To develop a highlevel of quality, the commission proposes that centres of learning focuson co-operation and invest in profiling and concentration. The commissionproposes the joint EU recommendations: promoting systems forprivate investment and donations to research. For Akademiska Hus thestructural change expected at universities and colleges could becomenoticeable in the form of development, expansion of operations and theneed for premises at locations with strong research and education profilesand cutbacks at locations with weaker profiles. In all probability wewill see greater interaction with industry and the community.Akademiska Hus Annual Report 2007 | Akademiska Hus market 11
