Table RH.5 shows thenumber <strong>of</strong> antenatal care visits for women aged 15–49 years who had a live birth during the twoyears preceding the survey by any provider. Some 40 percent <strong>of</strong> women in the MFWR had receivedat least four antenatal care visits. In addition, 20 percent had received three visits, 10 percent hadreceived two visits and five percent had received one visit.Women in the Mid-Western Region (34 percent) were less likely than those in the Far WesternRegion (48 percent) to receive at least four visits. Subregionally, the highest percentage was in theFar Western Terai (59 percent) and the lowest was in the Mid-Western Mountains (21 percent).Urban women (53 percent) were more likely than rural women (39 percent) to receive at least fourvisits. Women’s education level and wealth quintile both influenced the likelihood <strong>of</strong> their receivingat least four antenatal care visits. Only 27 percent <strong>of</strong> women with no education received at least fourvisits compared to 50 percent <strong>of</strong> women with primary education and 62 percent <strong>of</strong> women with at111
