IFC : IFC =0specifies that the correlation matrix is to be used to reduce the number ofmatrix elements taken into account to calculate the correlated errors (see Section 4.6). The correlationmatrix is created by the external program SELECT. To prepare the input information for SELECT itis necessary to execute OP,MINI with CONT switch SEL, and the default value of the print parameter4, i.e. 4, −2. This should be done at a final stage of minimization prior to the error calculation. Theinformation for SELECT is written by GOSIA on TAPE18 which should be attached to SELECT alsoas TAPE18. No other input is necessary. The output from SELECT is written on TAPE10 and shouldbe attached to the OP,ERRO job as TAPE18. IFC =1implies that the correlation matrix will not beused. In this case it is not necessary to create and attach TAPE18. It is however strongly recommendedthat IFC =1be used only for small cases with all matrix elements of similar significance. Otherwise,selecting IFC =1will dramatically increase the execution time with no effect on the result. IFC isredundant if IDF =0.RMAXThe largest floating point number available on a given computer. RMAX is used toprevent possible overflows during the scan of a probability distribution (see 4.6).Note: Fixed matrix elements will not be varied during the error calculation. Matrix elementscannot be coupled when OP,ERRO is executed. Use release options (OP,RE,A and OP,RE,F) toremove couplings and unwanted fixing of matrix elements introduced in the ME setup.N.B. Do not re-run the correlated error calculation without firsr re-running the diagonal error. Doingso will cause Gosia to over-estimate the errors because the output of the first stage (which should be thediagonal errors) is used to make an initial guess at the correlated error limits. Running OP,ERRO repeatedlyto calculate correlated errors without repeating the diagonal error will approximately double the correlatederror estimate each time.72
5.7 OP,EXIT (EXIT)This option causes the code to terminate the execution and to compile the final printout as specified by theCONT PRT, print options. OP,EXIT may be inserted anywhere in the input stream and the execution willterminate after the completion of the last executable OP,– command encountered before OP,EXIT. Theremainder of the input stream will be ignored, thus OP,EXIT allows to execute various modules of the codewithout removing the irrelevant portions of the input. No additional input is required.73
