5.9 OP,FILE (FILES)This option allows to define the permanent files necessary for a current job in the GOSIA input rather thanin an external job control stream. The use of OP,FILE is optional, but when used it should be the firstcommand in the input stream, so the full output goes to the user-defined file. The input to OP,FILE is asfollows:OP,FILEI1,I2,I3NAME..0,0,0where:I1- Unit number (TAPE number). I1 =22is the ouput file.I2 - Status indicator. I2 =1 indicates STATUS=OLD, I2 =2 implies STATUS=NEW, while I2 =3corresponds to STATUS=UNKNOWN.I3 - I3 =1 to indicate formatted file, I3 =2 means unformatted (binary) file. All files used by GOSIAare formatted, except of TAPE1 (internal correction coefficients file) which should be declared asunformatted.NAME - user-assigned filename.76
5.10 OP,GDET (GE DETECTORS)This option is used to create a file (TAPE9) which contains the data needed to reproduce the γ-energydependence of the solid angle attenuation factors for the coaxial Ge or detectors (see Section 2.2.3). For eachγ detector a calculation following the formalism presented in Section 2.2.3 is carried out at several γ-energymeshpoints, then the energy dependence is fitted using a rational approximation according to Eq. 4.15. Thefitted coefficients stored on TAPE9 are automatically read in when OP,YIEL or OP,INTG is encountered.This means that OP,GDET should be executed once before the execution of either OP,YIEL or OP,INTG.Section 7.4.2 shows the location of OP,GDET in the input stream.The input to OP,GDET is as follows:NPD A number of physically different γ detectors being used for a whole set of experiments definedin EXPT. The physically identical detectors are understood as the ones having an identical crystalgeometry and being placed at the same distance from the target.
