DAE has got the highest score (86) <strong>and</strong> ranked 1 st . Next to this, NGOs like BRAC,PROVA ranked 2 nd with 69 points. Different private companies were also prioritized by theparticipants as 3 rd in ranking followed by neighboring farmer with 55 points. Dealer <strong>and</strong> print &electr<strong>on</strong>ic media were other sources of in<strong>for</strong>mati<strong>on</strong> as menti<strong>on</strong>ed by the farmers. In Rangpur, theresp<strong>on</strong>dents told that most of them received in<strong>for</strong>mati<strong>on</strong> from DAE. They menti<strong>on</strong>ed the name of dealeras their sec<strong>on</strong>d in<strong>for</strong>mati<strong>on</strong> source. They also indicated that experienced farmers were other source ofin<strong>for</strong>mati<strong>on</strong>. Farmers also received in<strong>for</strong>mati<strong>on</strong> from relatives <strong>and</strong> companies to some extent. Insummary, it is very clear from the findings that DAE, ranked 1 st scoring 49 points followed by seeddealer (2 nd ) with 46 points.
