In their absence the members present will elect one of those presentto chair the meeting.b) Only have a casting vote.c) Convene all meetings of a society or its committee.d) Rule on points of precedence and policy where no clear directions have previously been given by a society.e) Keep up to date on all aspects of the society, coordinating all these aspects and activities so as to achieve maximumefficiency and maintain the direction of the entire society so as to achieve the overall purpose and goalsof the society.f) Be a signatory for the society budget.b) TreasurerA Treasurer shall:a) Understand and abide by the Union rules about society funding.b) Keep a society’s committee informed of a society’s financial situation.c) Maintain a record of all receipts and payments, giving details of the transactions and confirm the accuracy ofall entries made in a society’s accounts.d) Be responsible for all a society’s fundraising activities.e) Present a statement of a society’s accounts at a society’s AGM.f) Stand for election to any post on a society committee.c) Associate membership of a society may be granted to any non-member of the Union with the approval of theUnion Executive Committee.65
