The treatment with1-MCP took 12 hours at +18 °C temperature. Afterprocessing, apples were stored in type ULO plasticbags at +2 ±1 °C with relative humidity of 90% in twodifferently modified atmospheres (Table 1). Controlsamples (not processed) were stored in a cooler withthe same temperature and humidity. The duration ofthe research was 9 months. In the paper intermediateresults after 3 months were evaluate. Before and after the storage the following physicochemicalindexes of apples were determined usingstandardized methods:• content of soluble solids according to LVS EN12143:2001 standard;• content of titrable acids according to LVS EN12147:2001 standard;• density was measured with penetrometeraccording to LVS EN 1131:2001 standard.Mathematical data processingSPSS software version 11.0. was used for dataprocessing using the methods of descriptive statisticsand analysis of variance (ANOVA).
