Visitors ParkingVisitors are welcome to the campus at all times and may park in areas designatedfor visitors. Visitors must observe all <strong>University</strong> rules and regulationsgoverning parking and driving on campus. Visitors receiving parking citationsshould comply with instructions on the back of the ticket.Bicycles and Motorcycles<strong>Student</strong>s or <strong>University</strong> employees who use motorcycles are required to registertheir vehicles with <strong>University</strong> Police and are expected to follow the trafficand parking regulations as outlined for motor vehicles. Bicycles should beparked in bicycle racks and not in buildings.Vehicle Lockouts and JumpstartsThe department offers jump starts to individuals needing assistance withweak or dead batteries. Persons needing jump starts can contact SUNO Policeat 504-286-5290. Drivers of vehicles needing jump starts should raisethe hood of their vehicle to help identify their vehicle. In order to have thevehicle jump started, a Liability Release Form must be completed and signedby the driver of the vehicle being jump-started and by the officer providingassistance.To report a fire, smoke, odor of something burning, obtain an outsideline and dial 9-1-1, then contact Campus Police at 504-286-5290. In theevent of a FIRE, leave the immediate area. Close the door behind you. Activatethe building’ Fire Alarm. Alert others to the emergency while evacuating.DO OT STAY I THE BUILDIG. Let the 9-1-1 operator knowall the information as to location, what is on fire and any other informationthat can be helpful to the responders.
