The father and daughter use the nail, needleand pin for the details of the picture, and the stationeryknife for larger scale fields such as the sky.For toning, firstly the direction where the light hitsthe picture is located. More amounts of centring ismade on the spots where the light is denser, andsmaller touches usually suffice for shaded spots.Tools with thicker tips are used if larger fields needto be scanned.
