5 Water System - Domestic Hot Water5.9 Water PressureThe minimum working pressure to obtain the maximumdomestic flow is:-24<strong>cx</strong> 1.0bar30<strong>cx</strong> 1.0bar35<strong>cx</strong> 1.0barThe maximum working pressure of the domestic hot watercircuit is 10 bar. If the cold water supply pressure exceedsthis, then a pressure-reducing valve must be fitted in thesupply to the <strong>boiler</strong>.122535.10 ‘Hard’ Water AreasThe temperatures within the heat exchanger are limited bythe <strong>boiler</strong> control system to minimise scale formation withinthe hot water pipework. However, in areas where the water is‘hard’ (i.e. more than 200mg/litre), it is recommended that thehot water setting is reduced <strong>and</strong> that a scale reducer is fitted,refer to the manufacturer’s instructions or consult the localwater company for additional advice.5.11 Domestic Water Flow RateThe water flow rate is restricted to a maximum 9.4 l/min for24<strong>cx</strong>, 11.7 l/min for 30<strong>cx</strong> <strong>and</strong> 13.0l/min for 35<strong>cx</strong> by a restrictorfactory fitted within the <strong>boiler</strong>.Diagram 5.514
