Environmental Responsibility<strong>Dell</strong> is committed to being an environmentally responsible market leader. To that end, weconsider the environmental opportunities and challenges our company faces at every stageof the product life cycle, from development and design, manufacturing and operations, tocustomer use and product recovery. We are guided by a company environmental policy, byour efforts to continually improve our environmental performance, and by a number of policieson specific environmental issues.Continuous Improvements inEnvironmental PerformanceSome of <strong>Dell</strong>'s environmental improvements for fiscal year2006 are provided in the following information. For more information,see www.dell.com/environment.• The Product Development Group at <strong>Dell</strong> has implemented aformal environmental management system, ISO 14001, intoour product design organization.• <strong>Dell</strong> has provided long-range corporate environmental goals.• <strong>Dell</strong> has rolled out a compliance program to meet upcomingrequirements for the RoHS Directive.• Our Asset Recovery Services group continues to evolveand provide programs for recovering end-of-life producthardware.• Power management is enabled on all notebook models that<strong>Dell</strong> manufactures.• <strong>Dell</strong> became compliant with the China Certification Centrefor Energy Conservation Product (CECP) eco-label.<strong>Dell</strong> is constantly working to meet demands associatedwith our environmental responsibilities.
