Enter 599.f. Press the NEXT (SP-PHONE) button.g. Press the STORE (AUTO DIAL/STORE) button.h. Press the END (HOLD) button.[when using the 2-Channel Voice Message Card for the first time]To initialise the 2-Channel Voice Message Card:a. Enter 808.b. Press the NEXT (SP-PHONE) button.c. Press the STORE (AUTO DIAL/STORE) button.d. Press the END (HOLD) button.CAUTIONThe 2-Channel Voice Message Card must be inserted before start up.8. Press the PROGRAM button to exit system programming mode.9. Programme the PBX using either one of the following methods:a. PC programming. Refer to "Section 3, Guide for KX-TEA308 Maintenance Console".b. PT programming. Refer to "3.3 PT Programming" of the Feature Guide. Users in countriessuch as Italy and the Czech Republic are required to set the country code prior to all othersettings.CAUTION• The PBX is powered as long as the AC cord is plugged into an AC outlet, even if the PowerSwitch is set to the "OFF" position.• The power supply cord is used as the main disconnect device. Ensure that the AC outlet islocated/installed near the equipment and is easily accessible.Notes• If the outside (CO) lines you use are not connected to the PBX, outside (CO) line type cannotbe automatically detected.• Use only the AC cord included with the PBX.• If the PBX will not be used for an extended period of time, set the Power Switch to the "OFF"position and disconnect the AC cord from the AC outlet to conserve power.<strong>Installation</strong> <strong>Manual</strong> 63
