Program Director investigates the incident and mayask for additional information or clarification from any or all involved. The Program Director responds inwriting within three (3) business days to the student, with a copy provided to the applicable <strong>College</strong> personnel.a. The issue is resolved.b. The issue is not resolved and proceeds to Step 4.Step 4:The student meets with the Vice President of Student Services within three (3) business days of receipt ofresponse from Program Director. The Vice President of Student Services meets with the Student Grievance AdHoc Committee within three (3) business days of meeting with the student. This committee is chaired by theVice President of Student Services and members include: Vice President of Academic Affairs, appropriateProgram Director, a staff member, a student representative chosen from the Student Senate. The StudentGrievance Ad Hoc Committee has seven (7) business days to make a recommendation based on review ofinformation provided and applicable <strong>College</strong> policies, procedures and regulations to the Vice President ofStudent Services. The student and applicable <strong>College</strong> personnel will be given the opportunity to meet with thecommittee. The committee may ask for further information or clarification from any or all involved. Thedecision of the Vice President of Student Services is final.Special StudentsSpecial Student StatusStudents who want to take <strong>Bellin</strong> <strong>College</strong> courses but are not enrolled into a <strong>Bellin</strong> <strong>College</strong> major areconsidered Special Students. Special students earn regular credit which is permanently recorded for possiblefuture use. Certain opportunities, such as financial aid, for which degree seeking students may be eligible, arenot available to special students. Special students are subject to all normal <strong>College</strong> regulations and policies.Admission Criteria• Applications are available via the <strong>Bellin</strong> <strong>College</strong> website.• A $25 non-refundable fee per application.• Special Students pay full tuition and related fees and are subject to all <strong>Bellin</strong> <strong>College</strong> policies, proceduresand regulations as outlined in the student handbooks.• Undergraduate applicants must have received a high school diploma and not be enrolled into a <strong>Bellin</strong><strong>College</strong> major.• Graduate applicants must have a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree or higher and not beenrolled into a <strong>Bellin</strong> <strong>College</strong> major.• Contact the <strong>College</strong> Admissions Office for further details.16
