Maracaibo, 2012. p.160.ABSTRACTAnalyze the components of emotional intelligence that teachers handle their mediatingrole, from diagnosis to <strong>de</strong>scribe emotional knowledge, <strong>de</strong>termine <strong>de</strong>pth, alchemy levelpresent in the Early Education Center Carmelo Urdaneta, Venancio Thumb parish,Maracaibo , Zulia state. Theoretical mo<strong>de</strong>ls of the study: Goleman (2000), Cooper andSawaf (2004), Williams and Bur<strong>de</strong>n (1997), Morenza (1998), Froufe and Colom (1999)among others. Descriptive research type, mo<strong>de</strong> field (Sabino, 1996), qualitative andquantitative approach focused collection of numerical and <strong>de</strong>scriptive (Brown, 1996).Technique was applied direct and systematic observation of the phenomenon to get amore objective characterization of reality. Nonexperimental or experimental and<strong>de</strong>scriptive transversal (Hernán<strong>de</strong>z Fernán<strong>de</strong>z and Baptista (2003), Population: 12Teachers: Technique: survey (Bavaresco, 2001) Instruments: Frequency Response type:always, often, sometimes, rarely, never. Instrument A: Addressed to 6 teachers with 43items, Cronbach alpha reliability 0.6489; instrument B: observed behaviors measuredthree times, Cronbach alpha reliability -,7569. SPSS 10.0. Indicators: Knowledgeemotional emotional honesty, emotional energy, emotional feedback and practicalintuition, emotional competence: Authentic Presence, radius of trust, constructivediscontent, flexibility and renewal; emotional <strong>de</strong>pth: unique potential and purpose,commitment, integrity applied, influence without authority; Emotional Alchemy: intuitiveflow, reflective time change, creating future perception of opportunity. almost alwaysfavorably teachers manage their emotions, sometimes know how to act, or prefer to stayout in resolving conflicts in the classroom. emotional components: knowledge, skill, <strong>de</strong>pthand emotional alchemy, effectively meet the levels of emotional intelligence, an aspectthat limits responsibility to <strong>de</strong>tect and clearly communicate needs, problems involved inemotional intelligence and <strong>de</strong>cision making with the participation of all those involved ineducation.Keywords: emotional intelligence, knowledge, skill, <strong>de</strong>pth and emotional alchemy,mediating role of initial teacher education.Email: isaactifi _2@hotmail.com
