COLLEGE: In the fifth round of the 2015 NFL Draft, the Dallas Cowboys selected Ryan Russell to add depth
to a defensive front that utilizes many different defenders in its rotation to keep the attack fresh and active.
An athletic defender with quick feet and good change of direction skills, Russell brings all the physical tools
necessary of an NFL-caliber defensive lineman, but will work with Defensive Coordinator Rod Marinelli to refine
and enhance his pass rush and run defending skills in order to compete for playing time. In four seasons with
the Boilermakers, Russell accumulated 149 tackles, 25 tackles for loss, 10.0 sacks, four forced fumbles and
four fumble recoveries. Russell prepped up the road in Carrollton, Texas, and will look to make an impact on
his hometown team.
