• Led the team with 11 tackles with one stop for a loss against Green Bay (12/15).<br />

• Finished second in the finale against Philadelphia (12/29) with nine tackles to finish the season with a<br />

career-best 147 stops (team best).<br />

2012:<br />

• Earned the starting strong safety job in training camp but was sidelined three weeks into the season, rupturing<br />

his Achilles tendon.<br />

• Started at strong safety at the N.Y. Giants (9/5) and recorded three tackles, two breakups and the first fumble<br />

recovery of his career. Also tied for the team lead on special teams with a pair of stops.<br />

• Posted one tackle before leaving the game at Seattle (9/16) with a quad contusion.<br />

• Had four tackles in the home-opening win over Tampa Bay (9/23) before rupturing his Achilles tendon.<br />

• Was placed on Reserve/Injured with the Achilles injury on Sept. 25.<br />

2011:<br />

• Finished sixth on the squad with 10 special teams tackles while seeing time in the defensive backfield rotation<br />

to post 24 tackles, two for losses, and a pressure.<br />

• Had two tackles on defense and one on special teams in the season opener at the N.Y. Jets (9/11).<br />

• Led the team with three special teams tackles in the home-opening win against Washington (9/26).<br />

• Had a career-best six tackles with two more on special teams against Detroit (10/2).<br />

• Tied his season-best and tied for second on the team with six tackles with a stop on special teams against<br />

Seattle (11/6) before tacking on five tackles against Buffalo (11/13).<br />

• Had his first career tackle for a loss, finishing with three stops in the win at Washington (11/20).<br />

• In the first start of his career, had two tackles and a pressure before leaving the game against the Giants<br />

(12/11) with a shoulder injury. Was placed on IR two days after the game due to the injury.<br />

2010:<br />

• As one of just four rookie free agents to make the active roster out of training camp, finished fourth on the<br />

team with 16 special teams tackles while adding 14 tackles as a reserve safety.<br />

• Made his NFL debut playing on special teams in the home opener against Chicago (9/19) but did not record<br />

any statistics.<br />

• Saw limited action as a reserve in the secondary while continuing his role on special teams coverage units<br />

in the win at Houston (9/26), and posted his first career stop.<br />

• Added one tackle on special teams against Tennessee (10/10) before tying for the team lead with two coverage<br />

tackles at Minnesota (10/17).<br />

• Made two more special teams tackles against the N.Y. Giants (10/25) then notched his first career tackle<br />

on defense at Green Bay (11/7). Finished the Packers game with a season-high five tackles.<br />

• Had two more tackles on defense along with two on special teams in Jason Garrett’s first win as the interim<br />

head coach at the N.Y. Giants (11/14).<br />

• Added a defensive stop against Detroit (11/21) before notching one special teams stop in the overtime win<br />

at Indianapolis (12/5) and again against Philadelphia (12/12).<br />

• Tallied two tackles against Washington (12/19) before posting a season-high three special teams tackles<br />

on Christmas night at Arizona (12/25).<br />

COLLEGE:<br />

• Started all 48 career games at Toledo, finishing with 354 tackles, 26 tackles for loss, nine interceptions,<br />

18 pass breakups, six forced fumbles and three blocked kicks.<br />

• As a senior, was named first-team All-MAC for the fourth time, becoming the first Rocket and just the third<br />

MAC player ever to achieve that distinction.<br />

• Named one-of-12 semifinalists for the Jim Thorpe Award (top defensive back) and was also on official watch<br />

lists for the Bronco Nagurski Award (top defensive player).<br />

• Selected to play in the East-West Shrine Game.<br />

• Finished his final collegiate season tied for 12th in the MAC and second on the team with 98 tackles along<br />

with 8.5 tackles for loss, an interception, two pass breakups, a forced fumble and three blocked kicks while<br />

starting all 12 games.<br />

• First-team All-MAC for the third straight year as a junior, finishing with 93 tackles, 5.5 tackles for loss, one<br />

interception and a team-high six pass breakups and three forced fumbles while starting all 12 games.<br />

• As a sophomore, named first-team All-MAC for the second straight year, placing third on the team with 92 tackles.<br />

• Also second on the team with six tackles for loss and tied for team lead with three interceptions and had<br />

four pass breakups.<br />

• First-team All-MAC as a freshman and was named second-team Freshman All-America by The Sporting News<br />

and by Scout.com.<br />

• Led the Rockets with four interceptions with two returned for a touchdown to tie a school record.<br />

• Was also second on team with 71 tackles along with six tackles for losses, six pass breakups, a forced<br />

fumble and a fumble recovery.<br />

PERSONAL:<br />

• Named to the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review’s "Terrific 25" team and second-team all-state Class AAAA at safety<br />

as a senior at Penn Hills High School in Pittsburgh, Pa.<br />

• Also earned first-team Western Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic League-East honors, and was selected<br />

to play in the Big 33 Game (Ohio vs. Pennsylvania).<br />

• As a senior, had 80 tackles, 9.0 sacks and four interceptions.<br />

• Also played wide receiver, catching 30 passes for 670 yards and four touchdowns as a senior.<br />

• A triple jumper on the track and field team, and ran a 4.47 at the Metro Index camp.<br />

• Was a communications major at Toledo.<br />

COMMUNITY:<br />

• 2010 Dallas Cowboys Rookie Club.<br />

• 2011 Taste of the NFL: The Ultimate Cowboys Tailgate Party benefitting the North Texas Food Bank.<br />

• 2011 Participated in Super Bowl XLV youth football clinic.<br />

• 2011 Served an early Thanksgiving meal at The Salvation Army.<br />

• 2012-15 Dallas Cowboys U High School Camp.<br />

• 2013 Dallas Cowboys Draft Day/Fan Appreciation Party.<br />

• 2014-15 Reliant Home Run Derby benefitting The Salvation Army and 2014 team champion.<br />
