Brown got his start in the coaching profession<br />

immediately following an eight-year NFL career as a<br />

player when he served as the offensive coordinator<br />

at Williamsport (Pa.) Area High School from 2000-<br />

02. He then broke into the college ranks as the running<br />

backs coach at Lycoming College (2003-05).<br />

In addition to his collegiate positions, Brown also<br />

helped coach running backs at N.Y. Giants training<br />

camp in 2005, then worked with the Green Bay<br />

Packers (2006) and Carolina Panthers (2007) as part<br />

of the NFL's Minority Coaching Fellowship program.<br />

Brown enjoyed a four-year career at Penn State<br />

(1987-90), where as a sophomore, he led the Nittany<br />

Lions in rushing yards with 689 yards and six touchdowns<br />

on 136 carries (5.1 avg.)<br />

Kevin Carberry joined the Dallas Cowboys on<br />

March 3, 2014 as the club’s offensive assistant. He<br />

will continue to expand his duties in <strong>2015</strong> with added<br />

responsibilities that include assisting with tight ends<br />

and special teams. He will also continue to work on<br />

self-scouting, opponent film breakdown and the practice<br />

scripts and schedule. Carberry previously spent<br />

five seasons coaching at the collegiate level with<br />

Stephen F. Austin (2012-13) and the University of<br />

Kansas (2009-11).<br />

In his first season with Dallas in 2014, Carberry<br />

coordinated the daily practice schedule and scripts,<br />

assisted with the weekly run game installation and<br />

helped break down film of each week’s opponent.<br />

During practices he coached the offensive scout<br />

teams and assisted with the offensive line.<br />

For the 2012 and 2013 seasons, Carberry<br />

coached defensive ends at Stephen F. Austin, helping<br />

the defense lead the Southland Conference with 31.0<br />

sacks in his first season. Carberry also assisted with<br />

special teams coaching duties, coordinating the punt<br />

return unit. He also served as an area recruiter for the<br />

school in Houston and East Texas.<br />

A native of Williamsport, Pa., Brown played eight<br />

seasons in the NFL (1991-95, 1997-99) after being<br />

selected in the eighth round of the 1991 NFL Draft<br />

by the Houston Oilers. In his career, he played for the<br />

Oilers (1991-95), Chargers (1997) and Giants (1998-<br />

99). During that time he ran for 4,300 yards and 21<br />

touchdowns on 1,023 carries and caught 84 passes<br />

for 631 yards and three scores in 99 games. He<br />

rushed for 1,000 yards twice, including 1,002 in<br />

1993 and 1,063 yards in 1998. His feat in 1993<br />

was accomplished while playing in just eight games.<br />

Brown went on to earn his degree in sports<br />

administration from Lock Haven University in 2005.<br />

He and his wife, Kim, have two daughters, Malena<br />

and Dorianna, and a son, Tre.<br />

Carberry’s first coaching stop was at Kansas,<br />

serving as a defensive graduate assistant (2009-11),<br />

working with the defensive line and outside linebackers.<br />

His work with the defense allowed the unit to<br />

place 26th nationally averaging 2.58 sack-per-game in<br />

2009.<br />

Carberry went to training camp with Cleveland in<br />

2005 and spent the season on the Lions practice<br />

squad. He played for the Berlin Thunder of NFL Europe<br />

in the spring of 2006, then went to camp with<br />

Carolina. From 2007-08 he played in the Arena<br />

Football League and was a member of the 2008<br />

Arena Bowl Champion Philadelphia Soul. During the<br />

AFL offseason, Carberry was the defensive coordinator/defensive<br />

line and inside linebackers coach at St.<br />

Ignatius College Prep in Chicago, Ill. In 2006 he was a<br />

varsity assistant for the Illinois 7A State Champion St.<br />

Rita High School, his alma mater.<br />

Carberry, a four-year letterman at the Ohio<br />

University, earned All-MAC honors as senior team captain.<br />

He graduated from Ohio in 2005 with a degree in<br />

marketing and earned his masters in sports administration<br />

in 2010 from Kansas. Carberry is married to Emily.<br />
