Discipline
Submitted by Thomas Hill
“I remember 2015 like it was yesterday!” – January 1, 2016
A school teacher injured
his back and had
to wear a plaster cast
around the upper part
of his body. It fit under
his shirt and was not
noticeable at all. On
the first day of the
term, still with the cast
under his shirt, he
found himself assigned
to the toughest students
in school.
Walking confidently
into the rowdy classroom,
he opened the
window as wide as
possible and then busied
himself with desk
work. When a strong
breeze made his tie
flap, he took the desk
stapler and stapled the
tie to his chest.
He had no trouble with
discipline that term.
Tough Talk
Submitted by Jimbo
Three little boys were
bragging about how
tough they were. ”I’m
so tough”, said the first
boy, “that I can wear
out a pair of shoes in a
week.”
“Well,” said the second
little boy, “I’m so tough,
I can wear out a pair of
jeans in a day.”
“That’s nothing,” said
the third boy. “When
my parents take me to
see my grandma and
grandpa, I can wear
them out in a hour.”
