Jawaharlal Nehru Sports Complex, Indoor Hall, Shillong The Indoor Hall at the Jawaharlal Nehru Football Stadium is an iconic venue in Shillong having hosted many local tournaments. The multi-purpose stadium with a capacity of 500 and international facilities hosted Judo and Table Tennis competitions. The hall had sufficient space which has been best utilized for holding Table Tennis and Judo competitions. Changing Rooms, Director’s Room, VIP Lounges etc. were renovated. The following major repair and up-gradation work was carried out: • Laying of Maple wood flooring • Repair of arena lights • Repair and up-gradation of changing room • Misc. repair and renovation of facilities • Painting of the whole complex The cost of renovation of the Indoor hall was approximately Rs 141.64 lakh. 144 142 12 th SOUTH ASIAN GAMES | POST GAMES REPORT
