Visit by Chefs de Mission
A Chef de Mission (CDM) seminar was held in
Guwahati and Shillong from 10-13 January 2016. The
seminar which was arranged with less than a month
to go for the Games, worked as an ideal preparation
in the lead up to the Games. The CDMs were given
a traditional welcome in Guwahati upon arrival on
10th January 2016 and the seminar began on 11th
January 2016 where workshops were conducted
for the CDMs in presence on all the functional
area heads to ensure that any relevant query could
be addressed on the spot. The workshops were
conducted on critical issues like visa process, arrival
& departure process, accreditation, accommodation,
transport, venue infrastructure and sports
equipments that would be available for the Games.
