MANAGEMENT: CAPACITY BUILDING FOR
ADDRESSING REAL LIFE CHALLENGES
The world of work is full of complexities and challenges. Business and industry thrive on identifying
opportunities, managing change, dealing with conflicts and solving real life problems. Management
education equips us with the requisite knowledge and skill sets and builds up our capacity in
addressing these challenges.
The School of Management Studies (SMS) at Ansal University strives to achieve excellence in management education through
imaginatively designed curricula for both under-graduate and post-graduate programmes. Not only do we offer the typical
streams such as marketing, finance, HR and International Business, we also enable our students to develop management
expertise in the emerging sectors of economy by providing sector-specific courses. The philosophy of trans-disciplinary
learning of Ansal University perfectly blends with this multi-dimensional learning approach offered by the School. The
underlying objective of the content and pedagogy followed in our programmes is to develop employability skills and a mindset
oriented towards life-long learning among our students.
It is no longer enough for students building up their career to bank upon academic courses which provide them with
conceptual learning in various streams of management. The students need to build up professional competence as well in the
fields of their choice through additional options that are valued by the industry. The School provides such options by offering
certification courses such as Certified Financial Planning certification of the Financial Planning Standards Board, India. We
recognize the prestige and aura associated with global linkages in the academic programmes of the School, and towards that
end, we offer our students the option of pursuing additional post-graduate degrees from our partner universities abroad. This
gives the students a dual advantage in building their career path.
The excellence of an institute depends upon the excellence of faculty and their ability to build win-win relationships with
the external community. We believe in continual interactions with the employers, contemporary academic institutes in India
and abroad, fellow professionals and the community at large by reaching them out through conferences, publications and
collaborative programmes. Our faculty members consciously build up their identity capital by enhancing their academic
and professional visibility to the outside world through research and publications in the form of books, journal papers and
conference papers. Many of our faculty members have won laurels and acclaims for their achievements.
