The design industry is dynamic, surging and demands extreme passion. India
is witnessing an upsurge in design. From cars to buildings and almost every
usable item needs design. Lifestyle products sell as designer items.
Contemporary times are the times for design, innovation, creation and
groundbreaking concepts. A lot of changes have been witnessed in every
sphere globally. With population increase and urban explosion there is
a severe demand and need for designers to create infrastructure, which
provides solutions.
At the School of Design the students learn how to solve problems from the
day they start to study, how to create new things, how to untangle knots and
at the same time turn the results into something beautiful and artistic. I don’t
just mean objects, indeed good designers can conjure up from the depth of
their knowledge and passion amazing bags, shoes, bottle openers and just
about anything. Not only these, great designers tend to develop systems,
projects, offices, spaces, malls, supermarkets and homes full of warmth.
Designers are people who work in teams, are user focused and very positive.
Thus, at the School efforts are made to hone the soft skills of students. Our
students become naturally entrepreneurial and enterprising. Our pedagogy is
designed to train and develop superb designers.
