VPN Passthrough<br />
This page allows you to control VPN tunnels using IPSEC, PPTP, and L2TP protocols<br />
to pass through your Modem Router.<br />
To access the VPN Passthrough page, click Advanced > NAT > VPN Passthrough or<br />
click the VPN Setting button.<br />
IPSEC Passthrough — Internet Protocol Security (IPSec) is a protocol suite used to<br />
secure IP communications by authenticating and encrypting IP packets. Check this<br />
box to enable this function to work through your Modem Router.<br />
PPTP Passthrough — Point-to-Point Tunneling Protocol (PPTP) allows Point-to-Point<br />
protocol (PPP) to be tunneled through a network. Check this box to enable this<br />
function to work through your Modem Router.<br />
L2TP Passthrough — Layer 2 Tunneling Protocol (L2TP) is an extension to the PPP<br />
protocol that enables ISPs to operate VPNs. Check this box to enable this function to<br />
work through your Modem Router.<br />
It is recommended to retain the default ports of these protocols.<br />
