Provide training and materials to prenatal
Medicaid providers through each MCO to
promote the use of evidenced-based screening
and referral to the Indiana Tobacco Quitline.
Members of the Indiana Preventing Smokefree
Pregnancies in Indiana training
subcommittee will continue to provide
regional trainings for health care providers
working with pregnant women.
Promote ―text4baby‖ as another way to reach
pregnant women and new mothers with
smoking messages.
Promote tobacco treatment services, including
promotion of the Indiana Tobacco Quitline
and access to health care providers through
policy implementation and quality
improvement measures.
