POETRY CORNER<br />
In a single moment everything can change<br />
From what others do to<br />
the choices you make<br />
Every time something changes<br />
Make a decision to keep going<br />
Or, to let go.<br />
There are blue skies<br />
And, floating butterflies<br />
Talk, laugh, stroll<br />
Anyone can look and say<br />
Life was good today<br />
Dark clouds roll in<br />
Thunder shakes the den<br />
Huddle, shiver, cry<br />
People pass by and say<br />
“I’m glad I’m not her today”.<br />
What happened to the blue sky?<br />
To what land did go the butterfly<br />
How long will they be gone?<br />
What if they never return?<br />
Life is overturn<br />
Where is the escape?<br />
The world has fallen from its shape<br />
Broken, shattered, pieces<br />
Beaten to the bone<br />
As if all hearts have been turned to stone<br />
Trying to stand up<br />
The weight just won’t let up<br />
Harder, try harder<br />
Or, give in, it’s too tiresome<br />
Why strain instead of feel a freedom?<br />
“Just let go”<br />
A doubting voice crows<br />
“Don’t fight it, give up, it will only get worse<br />
Why live where there is no plunder”?<br />
It can’t get better<br />
“A few steps to end it all<br />
Climb to the top of the wall<br />
One more. Step off the solid ground<br />
Don’t look down<br />
Don’t question your life now”<br />
“End your pain<br />
What left is there for you to gain?<br />
Quickly, do it, now!”<br />
But, standing still<br />
Time freezes, for a moment, it you kill<br />
Remembering the days of the past<br />
Of laughter and happiness even when<br />
overcast<br />
Cried when scraped a knee<br />
But, with care and bandage<br />
It always healed quickly<br />
How is life different<br />
Fallen down on another stunt<br />
Another scrape, a break, and blood<br />
Neglect<br />
It will infect<br />
Take the time to heal<br />
Care for life so that it the demon can’t steal<br />
A gift, a curse, a blessing<br />
The pendulum swings<br />
A church bell rings<br />
A hand reaches out<br />
It’s ok to have doubt<br />
“I’m here, come close, it’s ok.”<br />
I want to bless you<br />
But, you have to choose”<br />
Give up on life<br />
Escape the pain of the moments of strife<br />
What then. No more. All is gone<br />
No more blue skies<br />
No more butterflies<br />
Fight through today’s struggles<br />
Those who didn’t give up will see the<br />
rainbows<br />
Be strong, Find courage, God is by your<br />
side<br />
Light comes after the storm has passed<br />
From the ashes of a fire comes new life vast<br />
Give up, all to see is darkness<br />
The light will hide, the journey even more aimless<br />
Don’t give up, Don’t give in, Don’t let go<br />
Let the light have a chance to shine again<br />
Wait out the storm until then<br />
Find shelter in the Lord<br />
He will give you the strength to push<br />
forward<br />
Love<br />
Forgive<br />
Live<br />
Give up today<br />
And never know what blessings<br />
were to come just moments away l<br />
