At the beginning of the book (The Blessed) superiority of Ashâb of our prophet, Muhammad ´alayhissalâm, is explained along with how unjust and ignorant are those who defame Ashâb-ı-kirâm. Besides, the meaning of ijtihâd is explained. In the part of cautioning, an answer is given to the book (Hüsniyye) written by an enemy of Islam. In another part, biographies of great savants of Islam - hadrat Imâm-ı Rabbâni and hadrat Sayyed Abdülhakîm-ı Arvâsi - are explained. In the part Two Apples of the Eye of Muslims superiority of hadrat Abû Bakr and hadrat Omar is explained; in the part The First Fitna in Islam events between Ashâb-ı-kirâm are explained beautifully from the pen of hadrat Imâm-ı Rabbâni Ahmad Fârûkî Sarhandi who explains that to love all of Ashâb-ı-kirâm is a fundamental condition of being Ahl-i-sunnat.

with their tongues what is not in their hearts. ...” (48-11) He inverts<br />

this âyat-i-kerîma into a sheer vilification of Hadrat Abû Bakr.<br />

Rasûlullah ‘sall-Allâhu ’alaihi wa sallam’ foretold the appearing of<br />

heretics in his various hadîth-i-sherîfs. He stated in one of those<br />

hadîth-i-sherîfs: “Of all those people who carry Muslim names, the<br />

person I fear most is he who changes the meanings in the Qur’ân<br />

al-kerîm.” On another occasion he stated: “<strong>The</strong>y will be taxing the<br />

Muslims with (the iniquities censured in) the âyat-i-kerîmas which<br />

were intended for (censuring) the disbelievers.” It is written in all<br />

the literature of siyar [1] as well as in books of Tafsîr (explanation of<br />

the Qur’ân al-kerîm) that Abû Bakr Siddîq and ’Umar Fârûq<br />

‘radiy-Allâhu ’anhumâ’ joined all the Holy Wars, including Badr,<br />

Uhud, Hendek (Trench), Conquest of Mekka, Hunayn, and<br />

Tabuk, and that they always kept around him (in order to learn<br />

from him and to protect him against danger) like moths hovering<br />

around a bright light.<br />

Abû Bakr ‘radiy-Allâhu ’anh’ was commander of some of the<br />

military expeditions. For instance, a company under his<br />

leadership was sent onto the tribe of Fezâra in the blessed month<br />

of Sha’bân in the seventh year of the Hegira. He went there, slew<br />

some of the unbelievers, took others captive and brought them to<br />

Medina.<br />

An important example is given in the following passage which<br />

we borrowed from the book Manâqib-i-Chihâryâr: During the<br />

Holy War of Badr, on the seventeenth day of Ramadân-i-sherîf,<br />

Friday, under the sweltering heat of a July noon the two armies<br />

attacked each other. Rasûlullah ‘sall-Allâhu ’alaihi wasallam’, Abû<br />

Bakr, ’Umar, Abû Zer, Sa’d and Sa’îd ‘radiy-Allâhu ’anhum’ were<br />

seated at the commanding post. <strong>The</strong> Muslim soldiers were in<br />

trouble. <strong>The</strong> blessed Prophet sent Sa’d and Sa’îd for help. He sent<br />

Abû Zer next, and he was followed by ’Umar. An hour later, Abû<br />

Bakr saw that there was no decrease in the trouble, drew his<br />

sword, and was about to gallop off on his horse, when the blessed<br />

Messenger held him by the hand and said, “Stay with me, O Abâ<br />

Bakr! Seeing your face relieves me of all sorts of suffering that<br />

come to my body and heart. Your company gives strength to my<br />

heart.”<br />
