The Minor “G” allele is associated
with:Decrease of Docosahexaenoic
acid (DHA) (GG) . DHA is a type of
omega-3, which is the primary
component of a brain cell. The
decreased ability transform fatty
acids into Docosahexaenoic acid
(DHA) results in a lower IQ for nonbreast
fed children. Breast milk
contains usable DHA.Some studies
have shown that breastfed children
with the GG genotype had the same
IQs as the AG genotype. Both
resulting in an average IQ in low the
100s. While Non-breastfed children
had IQs in the upper 90s.Low levels
of High-density Lipoprotein
Cholesterol (HDL-C) Moderately
increases the risk for Type-2
Diabetes.Intensive lifestyle
