THE CHALLENGE: IOT IN MODERNISATION<br />
In Italy one talks about 1 million elevators,<br />
often specifying that no one knows exactly how<br />
many are in operation. This data is sufficient to<br />
state that the real challenge for IoT in the elevator<br />
industry is its application in modernisation.<br />
If this is the challenge what are the objectives?<br />
How can we intervene?<br />
The first objective is to recover the data of the<br />
lifts already installed and not connected, defining<br />
a solution that is scalable, with a low impact<br />
in terms of time and costs for the installation<br />
phase and that it is easy to maintain.<br />

in terms of security, energy efficiency, reduction<br />

quanti siano in funzione. Questo dato è sufficiente<br />
per affermare che la vera sfida per l’IoT<br />
nel settore degli ascensori è la sua applicazione<br />
nelle modernizzazioni. Se questa è la sfida, quali<br />
sono gli obiettivi? Com’è possibile intervenire?<br />
Il primo obiettivo è quello di recuperare i dati<br />
degli ascensori già installati e non connessi,<br />
definendo una soluzione che sia scalabile,<br />
con un basso impatto in termini di tempi<br />
e costi per la fase d’installazione e che la stessa<br />
sia facile da manutenere. Il primo passo<br />
è recuperare i dati, l’ultimo è trasformarli in azioni<br />
e procedure in termini di sicurezza, efficienza<br />
energetica e riduzione dei costi di manutenzione.<br />
DA DOVE PARTIRE?<br />
Rispetto a sistemi che oggi non comunicano,<br />
una possibile opzione è partire dal teleallarme.<br />
