The redevelopment work involved replacing
the Duomo’s two existing lifts
with two special ones, with greater performance
and dimensions: for the North lift,
the one facing Corso Vittorio Emanuele street,
the car load was increased from 630 kg/8
persons to 750 kg/10 persons; the door opening
was increased from 650 mm to 900 mm.
For the South lift, located on the side
of the Royal Palace, where the Duomo Museum
is headquartered, the load remained unchanged
at 630 kg/8 persons due to the limited size
of the shaft, but the door opening was increased
from 750 mm to 800 mm.
For both lifts, gearless drives with VVVF
motors and speed of 2.5 m/s were supplied
to serve the 2 stops.
The aesthetic finishes of the car and the landing
doors are silver polished Dots stainless steel,
while the floors, to give continuity with
the entrance areas of the lifts, have been made
of white Candoglia marble. A special attention
was focused on passenger comfort with
the installation in the cars of air conditioning,
monitors, music and LED lighting.
L’intervento di riqualificazione ha visto
la sostituzione dei due ascensori esistenti
del Duomo con altrettanti impianti speciali,
con prestazioni e dimensioni maggiori:
per l’ascensore denominato Nord, quello che
si affaccia su Corso Vittorio Emanuele, la portata
di cabina è stata aumentata da 630 kg/8 persone a
750 kg/10 persone; la larghezza delle porte è stata
aumentata da 650 mm a 900 mm. Per l’ascensore
denominato Sud, ubicato dal lato del Palazzo
Reale, sede del Museo del Duomo, la portata è
rimasta invariata a 630 kg/8 persone a causa delle
limitate dimensioni del vano, ma la larghezza delle
porte è stata incrementata da 750 mm a 800 mm.
Per entrambi gli ascensori sono stati forniti
azionamenti senza argano (gearless), con motori
regolati a variazione di frequenza e velocità di
esercizio di 2,5 m/s, a servizio delle 2 fermate totali.
Le finiture estetiche della cabina e delle porte
di piano si caratterizzano per l’acciaio inox Dots
Lucido argento, mentre i pavimenti, in continuità
con le aree di ingresso degli ascensori, sono in
marmo bianco di Candoglia. Particolare attenzione
è stata riservata al comfort dei passeggeri
con l’installazione nelle cabine di climatizzatori,
monitor, filodiffusione e illuminazione a Led.
