FM 42-414<br />
Laundry NCO. The laundry NCO is supervised by the SLCR section/team chief. The<br />
laundry NCO supervises the day-to-day laundry activities to include issuing daily laundry work orders.<br />
He --<br />
• Provides input to the SOP/TSOP <strong>for</strong> laundry operations.<br />
• Assists on selecting operating site(s).<br />
• Supervises the layout <strong>and</strong> setup of the site(s).<br />
• Sets up laundry equipment load plans.<br />
• Εn<strong>for</strong>ces operational safety rules <strong>and</strong> precautionary measures to include executing environmental<br />
st<strong>and</strong>ards.<br />
• Develops <strong>and</strong> distributes work schedules.<br />
• Notifies the SLCR section/team chief on any problem(s) regarding site operations.<br />
• Determines laundry supply requirements <strong>and</strong> <strong>for</strong>wards request(s) through supply support channels.<br />
• Prepares, maintains, <strong>and</strong> submits required records/reports to SLCR section/team chief.<br />
• Inspects section’s/team’s equipment <strong>and</strong> supervises PMCS activities as needed.<br />
• Ensures laundered items are returned to appropriate personnel <strong>and</strong>/or organization(s) within 24 hours.<br />
• Conducts unit/individual training as required.<br />
Shower <strong>and</strong> Laundry Specialists. S/L specialists per<strong>for</strong>m the day-to-day activity taskings<br />
<strong>for</strong> S/L operations. They--<br />
• Operate section equipment <strong>and</strong> per<strong>for</strong>m PMCS.<br />
• Per<strong>for</strong>m shower <strong>and</strong> laundry operations.<br />
NOTE: Under the supervision of shower personnel, the supported unit’s personnel may assist in the<br />
following actions: set up <strong>and</strong> dismantle of shower point(s)/operations <strong>and</strong> delousing equipment; <strong>and</strong>,<br />
conduct delousing operations. Supported unit’s personnel will be responsible <strong>for</strong> securing their unit’s<br />
valuables during showering <strong>and</strong> delousing operations. Supported unit will coordinate <strong>for</strong> medical support<br />
personnel in delousing operations.<br />
• Per<strong>for</strong>m required S/L reports, records, <strong>and</strong> inventory data.<br />
Fabric Repair NCO. The fabric repair NCO works under the direct supervision of the<br />
SLCR section/team chief. The fabric repair NCO supervises the day-to-day fabric repair activities <strong>and</strong><br />
issues daily (clothing <strong>and</strong> limited, light textiles) repair work orders. He--<br />
