• After operations --<br />

•• Check <strong>for</strong> fuel leaks.<br />
•• Inspect fuel lines, connections, fuel tank, <strong>and</strong> filter.<br />
•• Check instruments <strong>for</strong> broken lenses <strong>and</strong> loose connections.<br />
•• Inspect wiring to see if insulation is cracked or worn <strong>and</strong> if connections are loose.<br />
CAUTION<br />
Be<strong>for</strong>e servicing any part of the generator set, personnel must make sure the<br />
engine has been turned off.<br />
Water Heater Maintenance. The shower equipment operators must per<strong>for</strong>m the following<br />
maintenance checks <strong>and</strong> services:<br />
• Be<strong>for</strong>e operations --<br />
• During operations --<br />
•• Check the nozzle <strong>and</strong> electrode holder on the burner <strong>for</strong> secure mounting. Ensure<br />
that connections on the lead assemblies are secure.<br />
•• Ensure that the blower shutter operates freely <strong>and</strong> check the blower mounting.<br />
•• Check the line connections on the fuel pump. Prime the pump <strong>and</strong> check it <strong>for</strong> leaks.<br />
•• Be sure their are no broken lenses on any instruments <strong>and</strong> that connections are<br />
secure.<br />
•• Check motor rotation of pump <strong>and</strong> burner. If the motor rotation is incorrect, change<br />
or reverse the motor’s two power leads.<br />
•• Check the operation of all valves <strong>and</strong> controls.<br />
•• Be sure the exhaust duct is properly connected <strong>and</strong> without any breaks or leaks.<br />
•• Check sight glass <strong>for</strong> steady flame.<br />
•• Check hoses <strong>for</strong> water leaks <strong>and</strong> to see that they are not twisted.
